University History:-
Vidyasagar University was named after the famous personality of Bengal Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. It is a UGC (University Grant Commision) authorized University which is located in Midnapore district of the State and it was established in 1978 with a moto to provide high quality educational environment to students and scholars. The University is funded by the state government for all his expenses.
